Landing Pages
The goal of any activity undertaken by a business is to grow its revenue. Leaving potential customers on the table doesn’t seem right. So, if we can create a few more websites as per how the users are trying to find a solution, then it would help with conversion, don’t you think?
That is where Landing Pages come into play. They are web pages crafted in a manner to address the need due to which the user is trying to solve.
These landing pages are designed with the use of images, content and testimonials for the persona. This makes the potential user feel that the solution is right in front of them. Sometimes colours and also fonts help. But, majorly testimonials and product information convert. However, for each use case the design changes.
Landing pages are generally of 2 types.
Lead generation pages: These are generally for high-ticket items. If you decide on an alternate MBA, you would consider the price and then think it over. For the institute, you are a prospect and they would want your details to help you make up your mind.
They have a form for the prospect to fill out. If they qualify as a prospect, the company reaches out. Else the company would have to call every ‘interested’ person.Click-through pages: These generally direct the prospect to sales or subscriptions. The prospect in this case generally self-checks out.
Overall, there are a few common things in almost all landing pages. They are:
A unique selling proposition (USP)
A hero image or video.
The benefits of your offering.
Some form of social proof.
A single conversion goal (or your call to action
Look how Airbnb ran 2 different landing pages for hosts to have more properties.

Aristotle’s Causes: Efficiency/Agency
According to Aristotle, any 3rd party thing which leads to change is considered an agency. For example, a table is built by a carpenter, so the carpenter is an efficient cause of change.
He applied the same logic to all things, even those beyond human actions.
If a bolt of lightning struck a tree and it is burnt down to ash. The bolt of lightning will be considered as the agency. There are other causes involved as well. For instance, the tree's susceptibility to catching fire, the presence of dry or flammable materials in the tree, and environmental factors like weather conditions all contribute to the overall causal explanation of the tree being turned to ash.
